You apply, a physician decides, and nothing is charged in between. These are the terms that govern this website, the application, and your week in Písac, written to be read rather than scrolled past.
These terms are an agreement between you and Pisac Ayahuasca Retreats S.A.C., a company registered in Peru that operates one retreat house above Písac, in the Sacred Valley. They cover this website, the application process, and the retreat itself.
Submitting an application, paying a deposit, or arriving at the house means you accept them. If anything here is unclear, write to support@eclmedia.agency before you apply and a person will answer.
Nothing on this site sells you a place. You apply, a licensed physician reads your file within 48 hours, your integration lead calls you, and only then is a place offered or declined. Nothing is charged to apply, and roughly one application in five does not proceed.
If we decline you, you get the reason in writing, no charge, and a referral list of practitioners who work with the conditions we cannot hold. A confirmed place is personal to you: it cannot be transferred, resold, or given to someone we have not screened.
Book flights after your place is confirmed, not before. We will not rush a medication taper or a decision to fit a fare.
Prices are stated in US dollars and are all-inclusive as itemised on the retreat page. Flights, travel insurance, and nights in Cusco or Písac either side of the week are not included. No deposit is ever taken before a physician confirms your place.
You can also stop partway through the week, at any point, without argument. You keep the room, the food, and every integration call. Nobody is talked into a ceremony here.
If you withdraw inside 45 days and we refill your place, we refund everything except a $200 administration charge. We cannot refund flights, which is one reason we require travel insurance.
Complete honesty on the medical form. Omissions are the one thing that makes this work unsafe. An undisclosed condition or medication discovered after arrival ends your participation in ceremony, without refund, because we cannot hold what we do not know about.
Tapers on your prescriber’s clock. Any medication taper is planned with your own prescribing doctor and reviewed by our physician. If the timeline does not fit your retreat date, we move your date, not your taper.
The dieta, three weeks out. No alcohol, no fermented food, minimal salt and sugar, from the date we give you. We send a grocery list and a day by day plan.
Arrive early for the altitude. Písac sits at 9,750 feet. You agree to be in the Sacred Valley at least 36 hours before the retreat begins so your body can acclimatise before any medicine is involved.
Travel insurance. We require it, including medical cover, for the full duration of your trip.
Clearance is per medicine, not per booking. Ayahuasca, Kambo and Bufo are each screened against their own contraindications, and clearance for one is never clearance for another. Nothing is combined on the same day.
The physician or your integration lead can decline any medicine, on any day, without explaining it to the group. The maestros decide second cups. You can decline anything at any time, including a ceremony you already said yes to, and nothing about your week changes except that ceremony.
We make no medical claims. Ayahuasca is not a treatment for any condition, and nothing on this site or said by our team is medical advice. Participants report lasting change; the research and its limitations are cited on our safety page.
Ceremony at 9,750 feet places real demands on your heart and lungs before any medicine is involved. That is why our screening is stricter than a jungle center’s, why some conditions are a full stop, and why a physician is on site through every ceremony with supplemental oxygen in the maloca.
By attending you accept the ordinary risks of travel in Peru and the physical demands of altitude, and you agree that in a medical emergency we may share what treating clinicians need, at the clinic in Calca or the hospital in Cusco, exactly as described in our privacy policy.
To the fullest extent Peruvian law allows, our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
These terms are governed by the laws of Peru. If we have a dispute, we talk first, plainly; what cannot be resolved that way is heard by the courts of Cusco. If one clause of these terms is found invalid, the rest stand.
The content of this site, including its text and design, belongs to us; do not republish it without permission. We never reproduce Shipibo kené patterns as decoration, and we ask the same of anyone quoting the site.
These terms change only when our practices do. When they do, the effective date above changes with them, and guests with an open application or a confirmed place are told directly. Questions: support@eclmedia.agency.
